H1N1 Swine Flu News
The H1N1 virus is now widespread throughout New Jersey. Carrier Clinic has been working closely with
county and state officials to coordinate efforts.
In an effort to protect our patients, residents and staff during this influenza season, we are requesting
that no visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed at the Hospital, Blake Recovery Center, The East
Mountain Youth Lodge, or East Mountain School.
In addition, we ask that anyone presenting influenza-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue,
nausea, vomiting or diarrhea) to please stay home and refrain from visiting friends and loved ones in the
hospital.

Carrier Clinic is a private, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare system founded
in 1910 that specializes in psychiatric and addiction treatment. We offer a full array

medical stabilization and transition to the next appropriate level of care. Treatment
teams consist of a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse, licensed clinical social workers,
allied clinical therapists and certified addiction counselors.
