How to Enroll Your Child in East Mountain School

Student enrollments to the East Moutain School are made through the child study team of each local school district. Students must be classified in need of special education services in order to be eligible for placement and are designated into a program at the school that best meets their needs.

The child study team schedules an intake meeting with the school's IEP coordinator for day placement students and a plan for enrollment is established with parents, teachers, and child study team members as a collaborative effort.

Students that are placed into the East Mountain Youth Lodge Residential Program and are classified in need of special education services are automatically eligible for placement into the East Mountain School. Residential placements are coordinated with the Residential Program's Intake Coordinator for students placed in the Lodge or SWAN/Sunflower Programs. (Residential placement information can be obtained by calling the East Mountain Youth Lodge).

School enrollment information about our specialized student programming and educational services can be obtained by calling the school office at (908)281-1445 or the school's IEP Coordinator at (908)281-1494.
